Description:

As the primary designer and animator for "The Legend of Swee' Pea," I aimed to enhance the storytelling through visually impactful motion graphics. Working with archival photos, written samples, and illustrations, I created animations reminiscent of old newspaper articles, ensuring seamless scene transitions that carried the narrative forward. I also developed a distinct visual style for newspaper clippings, differentiating them while maintaining a cohesive aesthetic. By animating illustrations in 3D space, I added depth and dynamism to static images, further immersing viewers in Swee' Pea's world. My contributions spanned nearly 50 shots, significantly enhancing the visual storytelling of this powerful documentary.

In addition to the core animation and design work, I collaborated closely with the director to ensure the visuals aligned with their creative vision. I adapted quickly to evolving project needs, implementing design changes efficiently. My technical skills allowed me to breathe life into archival materials, and my thoughtful design choices contributed to the film's emotional impact. It was an honor to be part of a project that tells such a poignant and important story.
